This is a full-time, on-site Miscellaneous Steel Estimator role located in York, SC. As a Miscellaneous Steel Estimator, you will be responsible for preparing accurate and detailed estimates for a wide range of structural and miscellaneous steel projects. This includes analyzing project specifications and drawings, collaborating with architects, clients, and internal teams, and preparing detailed cost estimates and proposals. You will also be expected to manage bid timelines, identify potential cost-saving opportunities, and ensure compliance with project requirements.
Qualifications
- Proven ability in reading and interpreting blueprints, technical drawings, and project specifications
- Experience in estimating, cost analysis, and bid preparation for structural and miscellaneous steel projects
- Proficiency in estimation software, spreadsheet tools, and other relevant applications
- Strong project management, organizational, and time management skills
- Effective communication, collaboration, and problem-solving abilities
- Familiarity with construction codes, standards, and safety requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field (preferred)
- Experience in steel fabrication or the construction industry is a plus
